"No, no. He's a teetotaler. He's been in AA for a while, I don't have that kind of courage, nor am I a quitter."- Woody Harrelson outing New York Times reporter David Carr on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
Woody Harrelson started out as the lovable goof on the television show Cheers. From there he has successfully appeared in many different genres of film. Whether you like Woody Harrelson or not, it can be agreed, universally, that he is in fact a weirdo.
Let's take a look at the evidence:
"With my daughter at the airport I was startled by a paparazzo, who I quite understandably mistook for a zombie," - Woody Harrelson defending his clash with a photographer at a New York Airport.
Woody Harrelson has a history of anger management issues and I personally think this was a GREAT excuse. I give kudos!
"I wrapped a movie called 'Zombieland,' in which I was constantly under assault by zombies, then flew to New York, still very much in character," Harrelson said in a statement.
A weird Woody Harrelson interview on Friends with Benefits, and working with Justin Timberlake.
Furthermore, Woody Harrelson cannot understand the media's obsession with his love of marijuana.
"We are all addicted to drugs." The actor states.
In 2009, he even lit up a joint at a his home during a Play Boy magazine interview.
"I've seen it printed that I'm a marijuana activist, and I understand that, but it's really just something I enjoy. Folks may have a drink... People may want to pop a pill before going to a party - that's not for me. Cocaine freaks me out. I like the mellow vibe of herb, its uninhibited effect. For me, it's a better drug than any of the others, and since we're all drug addicts, I don't think it's a bad choice.Whether your drug is sugar, coffee, sex, exercise or religion - everybody has something. I was two years on (attention deficit disorder drug) Ritalin; my brother was eight years on it. If you didn't have a drug addict before, you had one after. You have someone who's forever chasing the dream."- Woody Harrelson
Are you following him? Because I got lost during the last few sentences.
"My character is searching for the ultimate comfort food, which to him is not another human being but a Twinkie," says Harrelson. "I'm not a Twinkie lover. I don't do sugar or dairy either. When we finally shot my Twinkie-eating scene in the movie, they had to give me a specially made mock Twinkie made of corn meal. It could spur a healthy Twinkie revolution." - Woody Harrelson on being a Vegan and his role in the movie ZombieLand.
If that is not considered weird, then I don't know what is! Speaking of "Healthy Twinkies."
