This is the college I graduated from. Scary, huh? Yes, I lived in a building that is considered to be one of the most haunted places in the United States. In a nutshell, I didn't see or hear sh*t. Personally, I think it's a load of crock, but that's how I feel about all ghost stories ...
Although I loved my experiences at college, one fact remains: It did little to nothing for my career. On the other hand, if I would have double majored I would have been better off. At the time, double majoring sounded like a sentence to the great inferno of hell. Boy, was I wrong. Unfortunately, for many college graduates, "the old college try" is not nearly enough to land them a job that pays well after graduation. Welcome to our economy!
Most former college students these days are Mal-Employed, a term coined in the 1970's for students who could not find jobs that required the degree they held. So, if you have a masters degree and are working as a waitress, receptionist, clerk, or janitor, you are Mal-Employed, my friend.

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that all college graduates cannot hold jobs in their field of study. Do not lose hope!

Furthermore, keep in mind that over the past 20 years, tuition and fees at state universities have jumped nearly 130%. In great contrast, the income of the middle class has been lowering. The latest figures show the median income in the U.S. is $400 lower than it was in 1988. Come on people, we are talking the 80's here! In 1988, Gas cost 91 cents a gallon, postage stamps were 24 cents, and buying a brand-new home was around $91,600.00.

Want to talk scary college stories? My alma mater counts Ted Bundy among its alumni. On the bright side, at least I know for sure that I'm not the most f*cked up person to ever attend that school. Yay for Me! University of Utah - Go Utes!
I double majored in political science and journalism, and I am currently working at a clothing store. This is the same job I had all through college with no end in sight. It certainly was a waste for me.
Yes, I am not working in my field of study right now do to personal reasons. I was shoveling shit during college and after graduation I was still shoveling shit (Horse shit, literally). I would like to go to Graduate school. But honestly, I dont want to pay for it, lol.
